Reactive Markets Limited is seeking a C++ Software Engineer to build low-latency trading infrastructure on Linux. You will work on the core Switchboard platform—pricing engines, gateways, market-data systems, and messaging—with ownership from design through production.

The role requires strong C++ on Linux, plus experience with performance-sensitive systems. Go and Python are useful, and the team operates in a remote-friendly UK setup.

Qualifications

• Strong C++ with Linux systems programming (3+ years)
• Experience with performance-sensitive systems (profiling, optimisation)
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/UDP, sockets)
• Go experience is a strong bonus; Python for tooling and scripting
• Git and shell scripting experience required or beneficial

Responsibilities

• Build low-latency trading infrastructure on Linux
• Develop core components of the Switchboard platform (pricing engines, gateways, market-data, messaging)
• Own full lifecycle from design to production, including testing and deployment
• Respond to incidents and provide on-call support when needed
• Collaborate in a distributed, remote-friendly team across time zones
