Job summary

Hawk-Eye Innovations in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong C++ skills to design and optimize our video processing and cloud frameworks. You will work across live environments, helping to deliver low-latency, scalable media solutions for fans, players, officials, and broadcasters.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to architectural decisions, and mentor junior engineers while maintaining high code quality and robust testing practices.

Qualifications

• Experience writing multithreaded, performance-optimised code.
• Proficiency in modern C++ (up to C++20).
• Experience with networking (TCP/IP, streaming).
• Familiarity with Git, Visual Studio, and debugging workflows.
• Experience with FFmpeg, audio/video processing, or multimedia applications.
• Knowledge of cloud architecture, preferably AWS.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement components for systems and tooling platforms.
• Develop and optimize cloud video frameworks, including streaming and low-latency tech.
• Support deployments and field testing at live sporting events.
• Partner with product teams and customers to refine solutions.
• Champion high code quality and continuous improvement.
• Lead technical discussions and architectural decisions.
• Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers.
