Job summary

Hawk-Eye Innovations Ltd. in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior C++ Software Engineer to join our Cloud Video Framework team.

You will develop backend solutions, optimize low-latency video processing, and scale cloud-based media tools for live sports applications. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to architectural decisions in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in modern C++ (ideally up to C++20).
• Experience writing multithreaded, high-performance code.
• Familiarity with Git, Visual Studio and debugging workflows.
• Experience with networking and streaming protocols; exposure to cloud/video encoding is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement components for our systems and tooling platforms.
• Developing and optimizing cloud video frameworks, including audio/video processing, streaming technologies, low-latency systems, and scalable cloud-based media solutions.
• Participating in field testing and supporting deployments at live sporting events.
• Partnering with product teams and customers to refine and deliver the best solutions.
• Championing high code quality and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
• Leading technical discussions and architectural decisions; mentoring junior engineers.
