Job summary

Wellcome Sanger Institute is seeking a Buying Operations Lead to own requisition-to-purchase order workflows within Oracle Fusion, ensuring progress, controls and compliance are met. You will actively manage exceptions, coordinate supplier onboarding and resolve PO, receipting and invoicing issues.

You will drive process improvements, data-driven insights and greater automation, while maintaining practical, compliant processes in a busy research environment.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of buying operations and procure-to-pay processes
• Knowledge of PO, supplier, receipting and invoice data dependencies
• Familiarity with ERP/e-procurement systems and controls
• Experience in procurement operations or supply chain administration
• Excellent data analysis and Excel skills

Responsibilities

• Own requisition-to-purchase order workflows in Oracle Fusion
• Manage exceptions and escalations to keep purchasing on track
• Coordinate supplier onboarding and enablement
• Resolve PO, receipting, invoicing and delivery issues
• Identify recurring problems and drive process improvements
• Promote and implement automation and self-service buying
