Job summary

Wellcome Sanger Institute is seeking a Buying Operations Lead to own requisition-to-purchase order workflows within Oracle Fusion, ensuring efficient progress and adherence to controls. You will manage exceptions, coordinate with stakeholders across the Institute, and drive improvements toward automation and self-service buying.

You will analyze operational data, identify risks, and escalate where needed, building strong supplier and internal relationships while ensuring compliance and practical

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of buying operations and requisition-to-PO workflows.
• Experience with procure-to-pay processes in a controlled environment.
• Familiarity with purchase order, supplier, receipting and invoice data dependencies.

Responsibilities

• Own requisition-to-purchase order workflows within Oracle Fusion.
• Identify blocked, overdue and high-intervention purchasing activity and coordinate resolution.
• Coordinate supplier onboarding and enablement, resolve PO, receipting, invoice, pricing and delivery issues.
