Job summary

Tesco PLC in the United Kingdom is seeking a Buying Manager for Easter and Halloween confectionery to lead and develop a team of Assistant Buyers and Trainee Buyers; you will source and buy great quality products, deliver a compelling range, and set long-term plans aligned to customer needs.

You will use insight tools to analyze performance, manage supplier relationships, negotiate costs, and drive KPIs, promotions, and growth while adhering to Tesco policies and the Buying model.

Qualifications

• Commercial buying experience across confectionery or grocery categories.

Responsibilities

• Source and buy great quality confectionery products for Easter and Halloween.
• Lead and develop a team of Assistant Buyers and Trainee Buyers.
• Ensure a long term customer-led plan that drives loyalty and KPIs.
• Use insight tools to analyse performance and identify opportunities.
• Negotiate with suppliers to achieve market-leading costs and terms.
• Deliver the category strategy and trade plan, including promotions and events.
