Job summary

Tesco Stores Limited seeks a Buying Manager for Easter and Halloween confectionery to source and buy quality products and lead a team of Assistant Buyers and Trainee Buyers. You will develop long-term customer-led plans, use insights to drive category strategy, and build strong supplier relationships to deliver market-leading plans and KPI targets.

You will negotiate costs, manage promotions, and ensure compliance with all Tesco policies and GSCOP, while contributing to growth and profitability.

• Source and buy high-quality confectionery to deliver best offers, range and prices.
• Lead and develop a team of Assistant Buyers and Trainee Buyers.
• Create a long-term, customer-led plan for the buying area.
• Use insight tools to analyze performance and develop category strategy.
• Build and manage supplier relationships to deliver market-leading plans.
• Support department range strategy and deliver KPI targets.
• Negotiate with suppliers to optimize costs and investments.
• Ensure compliance with Tesco policies, GSCOP and training.
• Record agreements in writing and report GSCOP issues to Legal within 48 hours.
• Follow Tesco's Business Code of Conduct and maintain integrity.
