Job summary

Jobs.co.uk is seeking a Buyer for their Reigate site on a permanent basis. The role blends MRP planning with senior purchasing duties, procuring materials at optimal price, quality and timing.

You will work with stock control to reduce costs and production delays and convert planned orders into firmed purchases or internal works orders. The successful candidate will source and negotiate with vendors, maintain ERP accuracy and ensure timely communications across the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Strong negotiation and supplier management abilities.
• Experience with inventory planning and MRP systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organised and able to multi-task across priorities.

Responsibilities

• Minimise costs and delays through efficient scheduling and timely order placement.
• Convert planned orders into firmed purchase or internal works orders.
• Source, negotiate and secure quality vendors.
• Minimise stockholding to ensure stock rotation.
• Communicate external orders to vendors and ensure ERP accuracy.
• Monitor stock levels and ERP data to keep information up to date.
