About The Role

A manufacturing business seeks a Buyer for its Reigate site on a permanent basis, offering £35,000 to £40,000 annually. This multi-function post blends MRP planning with senior purchasing duties. The successful candidate procures materials and goods at optimal price, quality and timing, working alongside stock control. Responsibilities include reducing costs and production delays through efficient scheduling, converting planned orders into firmed purchase or internal works orders, and sourcing, negotiating and securing quality suppliers. Applicants should demonstrate strong negotiation, supplier management and inventory planning abilities, with MRP systems experience. The position suits someone methodical who can balance commercial targets with operational continuity. Working pattern is full-time, office-based.

A global manufacturing business specialising in the design, manufacture and supply of a range of static tension and compression testing machines, including specialist grips, fixtures and applications are looking for a Buyer to join the team in Redhill.

This is a multi-function role incorporating functions such as MRP Planner and Senior Buyer. You will be involved in the procurement of materials and goods on behalf of the company at the best possible price and quality on time and in conjunction with stock control.

Responsibilities As Purchasing Executive/Buyer

• Minimising costs and delays to the production of products and services by efficient
• scheduling and placement of orders. - Convert planned orders to firmed purchase or internal works orders.
• Source, negotiate and secure quality vendors.
• Minimise stock holding where possible to ensure stock rotation.
• Communicate external orders to vendors
• Secure confirmed vendor confirmations and enter into ERP system. Ensuring accuracy at all times.
• Communicate any issues within supply chain to affected departments.
• Monitor Manage stock holding/order placing.
• Monitor Manage internal and external data to ensure ERP is up to date at all times

We’re Looking For a Purchasing Executive/Buyer With

• Experience in a similar field is preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge in AX dynamics would be an advantage.
• Technical experience.
• Highly organised.
• Multi-tasking ability
• International experience would be an advantage.

Working Hours

Monday-Thursday: 08:00-17:00

Friday: 08:00-16:00
