Job summary

Sizewell C Company seeks a Senior Buyer to support the Civil Works Alliance in delivering Sizewell C. You will manage end-to-end procurement for subcontract packages, develop procurement strategies, prepare RFQs/ITTs, evaluate bids and make sourcing recommendations aligned with project governance.

The role requires strong supplier relationship management, contracting knowledge, and a focus on value creation within nuclear regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated understanding of procurement and commercial principles.
• Thorough understanding of legal and contracting law.
• Excellent supplier relationship management and knowledge of procurement strategies.
• Experience delivering procurement strategies for high value packages.
• Strong analytical and commercial awareness with attention to value.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver procurement strategies for project wide/high value packages.
• Implement procurement processes and governance.
• Lead procurement for complex packages per strategies and governance.
• Coordinate commercial reviews of tender returns and supplier performance.
• Draft, issue and execute contracts following procurement guidelines.
• Build local supplier databases and support SME engagement.
• Support Meet the Buyer events and local procurement plans.
