Job summary

Millbank is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer / Procurement Specialist to lead procurement activities across a portfolio of engineering and project-based requirements in a hybrid, UK-based role. You will engage with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to craft effective sourcing strategies and manage supplier performance on major programmes.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated procurement/supply chain experience in engineering, construction, infrastructure or similar tech environments.
• Strong knowledge of UK contract forms, especially NEC4 PSC.
• Experience supporting contract management, supplier negotiations and procurement best practice.
• Understanding of UK procurement processes, commercial principles and financial governance.
• MCIPS qualification, pursuing MCIPS, or equivalent procurement expertise.
• Degree qualification or relevant professional experience.
• Ability to obtain Security Clearance (SC) and UK nationality requirements for certain projects.
• Experience using COINS or similar procurement/ERP systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement activities across diverse engineering and project-based requirements.
• Engage with internal project teams, consultants, contractors and suppliers to develop sourcing solutions.
• Support contract preparation, negotiation, award and ongoing supplier performance management.
• Provide procurement expertise to identify and mitigate commercial risks.
• Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to support project delivery and procurement outcomes.
