Are you an experienced Buyer or Procurement professional with a background in engineering, industrial, construction or major projects, looking to take ownership of complex project procurement rather than routine production purchasing?

Do you want to develop your career within a diverse engineering business while receiving support towards CIPS qualifications, giving you the opportunity to strengthen your procurement expertise alongside experience across major engineering projects?

The company are a leading UK provider of complex engineering and construction solutions, delivering mechanical engineering projects across sectors including building products, aggregates, energy, recycling and utilities.

With decades of experience and extensive in-house design, fabrication and engineering capability, the business specialises in taking on technically challenging projects and delivering turnkey solutions from concept through to completion.

The Role:

• Support estimating, sales and project teams with supplier and subcontractor pricing during tender stages
• Source, obtain and critically assess quotations from UK and international suppliers
• Procure subcontract packages, materials, plant, equipment and specialist engineering services
• Manage procurement across packages ranging from day-to-day requirements through to high-value packages worth hundreds of thousands or millions of pounds
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery requirements and supply agreements to achieve best commercial value
• Ensure suppliers and subcontractors meet required technical, quality, safety, accreditation and programme requirements

The Person:

• Background in Procurement, Buying or Supply Chain within engineering, industrial, construction, manufacturing or major projects
• Experience in working with UK based and international suppliers
