Job summary

Wolviston Management Services is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer for a large industrial facility in Saltend Chemicals Park, Hull. The role focuses on end-to-end procurement, supplier relationship management and contract administration to secure value-for-money and reliable supply chains.

Working closely with technical teams and internal stakeholders, you will support CAPEX projects, sourcing strategies and tender processes while ensuring compliance with procurement policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in Buyer/Senior Buyer roles within industrial/manufacturing environments.
• CIPS qualified or currently working towards accreditation.
• Strong contract development and supplier management experience.
• Experience with CAPEX purchasing and formal tendering processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities across a large industrial site, ensuring value for money and continuity of supply.
• Develop and manage supplier contracts, terms and commercial strategies.
• Identify opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
• Coordinate invitation-to-tender processes, supplier evaluations and contract awards.
• Support CAPEX projects with sourcing strategies and contract selection.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures and relevant legal/financial requirements.
