Job summary

OLG Recruitment are currently looking for a Senior Buyer for our client located in Hull. This is a fixed term contract opportunity for 12 months.

The Senior Buyer will drive procurement activities at Saltend Chemicals Park, lead contract development and management, oversee tender processes, support Capex purchases, and ensure policy compliance and supplier audits in collaboration with technical representatives.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified member of CIPS, or working towards.
• Experience in contract development including terms, structure, strategy, performance monitoring.
• Experience in contract management identifying supply chain efficiencies and performance issues.
• Experience liaising with technical representatives.
• Project & Capex purchasing support experience.
• Management/admin of invitation to tender processes experience.
• Experience with procurement systems.
• Experience of working to procedures.

• Project and Capex purchasing support, including selection of appropriate contracting styles.
• Assist with the management of the invitation to tender process.
• Contributing to the on-going development of and compliance with the business procurement policy, procedures and systems.
• Coordinate and manage any client and/or supplier related audits.
• Promote the use of the PSS system.
• Liaise with the relevant departments in the pre-qualification of all suppliers.
• Support in relation to compliance with legal and finance functions.
