Job summary

W Talent partners with a well-established food business to recruit an experienced Senior Buyer for the West Midlands. You will own category strategy, negotiate with suppliers and influence range, pricing and promotions, collaborating with cross-functional teams and taking ownership of P&L for your category.

The role offers hybrid working based in the West Midlands, with opportunities to drive commercial outcomes and impact supplier strategies across the category.

Qualifications

• Proven buying experience within food (retail, wholesale or foodservice backgrounds welcomed).
• Strong commercial and negotiation skills with a track record of managing supplier relationships.
• Confident using data and insight to drive decisions.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

This is a great opportunity for a senior buyer with a strong food category background to take ownership of a key area of spend, with real scope to influence supplier and range strategy.
