Job summary

STRABAG is seeking a procurement professional to support the HARP Project by embedding in site operations and providing procurement services across projects. You will engage suppliers, drive delivery assurance, and contribute to value-based procurement decisions aligned to STRABAG strategy.

The role focuses on complex procurement across the regional operating unit, ensuring robust negotiation, contract integrity, and continuous improvement of supply chain performance to meet project demand.

Qualifications

  • CSCS Card required.
  • Knowledge of construction work practices from pre-construction to construction.
  • Experience running supply chain events.
  • Experience with tendering processes (e.g., CompeteFor).
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, MS Project).

Responsibilities

  • Provide a comprehensive procurement service for all projects.
  • Deliver a consistent procurement approach across all projects within the regional operating unit from work winning / pre-construction stage.
  • Demonstrate best overall value for money in the procurement recommendations.
  • Ensure a robust negotiation process is applied in the engagement process.
  • Ensure contract arrangements and package details are comprehensive and protect the business in its dealings with suppliers and sub-contractors.
  • Contribute to STRABAG leverage at every opportunity.
  • Ensure decisions are not focussed upon lowest price but overall best value for money.
  • Develop an accredited and structured supply chain that is aligned to the regional operating unit demand and overall Strabag strategy.
  • Consistently monitor the marketplace to ensure awareness of pricing trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Continuously seek out and assess new supply chain members to meet regional operating unit project demand.
  • Monitor the supply chain performance, workload and financial status to protect the corporate position.
  • Develop the supply chain, products and innovations that bring cost and/or buildability benefits.
  • Actively contribute to future development of Strabag procurement strategy.
  • Compliance with procurement process, procedures and Company ethics.
  • Ensure the implementation of National/Regional agreements relating across all projects within the regional operating unit.
