Job summary

SUCCESS TALENT is seeking a Senior Buyer in Cardiff to lead the Dresses & Wovens range. This permanent role calls for a trend-focused, commercially minded professional who can drive celebrity styles and create fashion-forward collections.

You will develop and deliver balanced ranges, manage supplier negotiations, and collaborate with merchandising to hit margin and stock targets in a fast-paced retail environment.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an award-winning value retailer as a Womenswear Senior Buyer within their Dresses & Wovens department. This role is perfect for a trend-focused and commercially driven individual who can bring fresh ideas, drive celebrity ranges, and create innovative collections that resonate with the brand's customers.

As a Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for:

• Developing and delivering commercially balanced ranges while meeting margin targets.
• Leading the creation of trend-driven collections, ensuring consistency across categories in terms of colours, looks, and key styles.
• Managing the product sign-off process, ensuring everything is aligned with the critical path and business timelines.
• Building and maintaining strong global supplier relationships, negotiating effectively to maximise profitability.
• Monitoring performance and identifying emerging trends, using insights to shape future product ranges.
• Collaborating with merchandising to manage stock levels and ensure financial objectives are met.

A strong understanding of fabrics, garment construction, and print is essential, along with experience in developing fashion-forward collections. The ideal Senior Buyer will have a passion for trends and newness, as well as excellent negotiation skills and the ability to drive commercially successful product ranges.
