A leading multidisciplinary contractor in the rail industry is seeking a Senior Buyer in Birmingham. The role involves managing supply chain relationships, leading procurement strategies, and ensuring effective supply chain structures. Location: Birmingham
Salary: up to £53,000 per annum DOE
Hours: 40 per week - Monday - Friday
Due to growth, my client is looking to add a Senior Buyer to be responsible for driving value from the supply chain through effective supply chain selection, segmentation, relationship management and development, and robust performance management.

Your duties as a Senior Buyer will include:
·Ensuring an effective supply chain structure is in place with clear ownership of key subcontractor relationships, whilst ensuring a consistent approach across the Business Unit.
·Providing input into subcontractor selection and the development of project tender lists and then lead the supply chain involvement.
·Support and lead subcontract procurement and develop package procurement strategies.
·Prepare tender enquiries and send out for pricing.
·Lead the Procurement element for any Tenders, contributing to pre-start and coordination meetings.
Requirements:
·Minimum 3 years experience working at a Senior level within construction or civil engineering, preferably rail
·Industry related ONC/HNC/HND/Degree
·MCIPS or equivalent (preferred)
·IT literate and proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office packages and Procurement software
