Reporting directly to the MP&L Manager, you will be instrumental in providing effective and efficient purchasing strategies that directly contribute to the company's ability to meet its customer delivery commitments (OTIF). You can make a real impact here as there are some real improvements and cost savings to be made.

Your Impact:

• Fuel company growth by strategically sourcing materials and services to enhance profitability.
• Streamline the supply chain by reducing supplier lead times without compromising quality.
• Cultivate strong supplier relationships, monitoring performance through KPIs and reviews to ensure optimal value.
• Proactively identify and implement cost-saving initiatives within the existing supplier network.

What You'll Bring:

• Demonstrable experience as a Buyer, Senior Buyer, or Project Buyer within a manufacturing setting.
• Exceptional negotiation abilities and a deep understanding of commercial agreements.
• A strong grasp of manufacturing principles and practices.
• The capacity to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• A successful track record of purchasing a variety of materials, components, and parts.
• Proficiency in Excel (intermediate to advanced).
