Senior Business Systems Analyst - Calpyso

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Business Systems Analyst with Calypso expertise to join a dynamic team in London.

This role will interact with key business areas, including Front Office, Finance & Operations, Back Office, Static Data, and Risk Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing robust technology solutions while supporting existing applications and frameworks.

As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in planning, managing, and leading the delivery of detailed system requirements and technical and functional specifications. You will work closely with business and technology partners to ensure alignment with standards and frameworks, delivering meaningful outcomes through technical leadership, clear communication, and structured documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with technology partners (e.g., Software Engineers, Architects) to analyze current system capabilities and propose technology solution options.
• Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, ensuring non-functional requirements are accounted for.
• Assist testing teams in translating requirements and use cases into test conditions for product, performance, user acceptance, and operational testing.
• Contribute to project management activities, such as scoping and estimating project efforts, identifying risks, and recommending mitigation strategies.
• Participate in quality management reviews, including designs, prototypes, and other requirements work products.
• Work closely with stakeholders to assess solutions and manage the integration of new systems with existing processes.
• Provide operational and process-related analysis and support, ensuring adherence to existing standards and processes.
• Stay current on industry trends and developments, gaining expertise in services, applications, and analytical tools.
• Work with vendors on business case development, including benefits identification, RFI/RFP processes, and service level agreements.
• Mentor and coach less experienced colleagues throughout the requirements management life cycle.

Job Requirements:

• Undergraduate Degree.
• 5+ years of experience in Capital Markets with at least 3 years of experience inCalypso.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, including Fixed Income products, Cash, and Derivatives.
• Advanced knowledge of business technology delivery practices, including design, development, testing, and project management.
• Expert understanding of business analysis processes, techniques, system components, interfaces, and data flows.
• Proven ability to work independently as a senior or lead business analyst, with experience coaching and guiding teams.
• Experience acting as a subject matter expert and consultant for business and technology partners.
