The Business Systems Analyst III is responsible for collaborating with Digital Product Managers (DPM), business system owners, and users to capture business requirements and translate them into specifications for design, coding, and testing of complex software within the organization.
The incumbent acts as a liaison between DPMs, business users, software engineers, and QA analysts to implement software solutions that meet business goals.
This role supports the delivery of BAU solutions and the implementation of existing ERP projects, analyzing, defining, and documenting segment-level requirements aligned with corporate-level needs. It involves detailed data analysis to support data exchange with reinsurance systems and Datawarehouse (SQL and Snowflake), requiring a strong understanding of enterprise data flows and data engineering practices.
Acts as a Reinsurance subject matter expert, supporting delivery and liaising with third-party suppliers and implementation partners to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Builds relationships with stakeholders, keeps them informed, and maintains knowledge of relevant business applications.
Conducts detailed data analysis with upstream product teams to define data requirements and resolve dependencies.
Follows corporate standards for business analysis and requirements management, supporting testing, and facilitating requirements elicitation sessions.
Documents system requirements and supports validation through prototypes and stakeholder reviews.
Assists in prioritizing requirements, maintaining change request backlogs, and ensuring requirements are accurately translated into technical specifications.
Performs comprehensive analysis of business requirements to identify implications and missing elements.
Requires extensive experience in Insurance & Reinsurance, especially internal reinsurance processes and data, with knowledge of London Market data and regulatory requirements.
Experience working with financial data, reconciling reports, and understanding enterprise data warehousing and engineering concepts.
Possesses strong communication, problem-solving, and adaptability skills, with the ability to influence and work independently.
Experience supporting reinsurance systems, including integrations, is essential. Workday experience is highly desirable, along with familiarity with JIRA and SQL.
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or related field, with 5 years of relevant experience.
