A leading council in Scotland is seeking an organized individual to manage the school office and provide administrative support to the head teacher. This role involves overseeing operational aspects of the school, ensuring compliance with regulations, and assisting in recruitment processes. Ideal candidates will have clerical experience and a strong understanding of financial procedures. This position is crucial for maintaining the smooth operation of the school environment.
You will manage the school office and provide personal administrative support to the head teacher, including liaison with other departmental service providers. Oversee the operational aspects of DSM for the school and ensure compliance with standing orders and financial regulations. Assist with recruitment and selection procedures by providing administrative support.
Essential requirements include previous clerical and/or administrative experience, particularly with DSM and financial procedures.
Note: On completing additional years of service by 1 January each year, following your anniversary of appointment, your salary will be adjusted to include a payment in lieu of the additional leave day accrued at the start of each leave year for the first 10 years of service.
This position is considered Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. It is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with children. If you have lived or worked outside the UK in the past 10 years, an overseas police check may be required.
