Job Description:
KPMG Microsoft Business Solutions is looking for a Business Development Manager responsible for driving utilization and dependence upon KPMG Microsoft Business Solutions as the go-to place for all Microsoft at KPMG and external clients. The role involves providing trusted advisor expertise, creating and progressing opportunities in the international market by leveraging a hybrid skillset of business development, pre-sales, technical excellence, and delivery. The manager will advocate for innovation within the firm and with clients, develop team members, and promote collaboration across teams.
Role Responsibilities
Business Development
- Owns the development and execution of a demand generation strategy for a key industry market to drive pipeline and sales to KPIs.
- Develops positioning, messaging, and unique selling propositions for Microsoft offerings through KPMG Microsoft Business Solutions.
- Responsible for pipeline generation and sales execution.
- Identifies opportunities to diversify across sub-industries, emerging technologies, and service propositions.
- Works with KPMG teams to create integrated propositions for specific industries or clients.
- Leads interlock with the delivery organization to ensure robust contracts, support for program delivery, and development of profitable commercial constructs.
- Develops marketing and communication plans to drive pipeline in new client segments.
- Manages client relationships and commercial engagements for successful delivery and long-term relationships.
Business Development – Execution
- Owns and cultivates senior stakeholder relationships within strategic accounts.
- Manages relationships within the KPMG partner network to generate pipeline from existing clients.
- Maintains relationships with key Microsoft stakeholders to develop co-selling opportunities.
- Leads bids and proposals for large transformation programs (£1-4m).
- Acts as a trusted advisor to clients regarding their strategic business and technology needs.
- Leads contract negotiations ensuring compliance with policies.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Extensive experience in Microsoft solution sales.
- Knowledge of Microsoft technologies (Dynamics 365, Office 365, Azure).
- Cross-industry experience (Public Sector, Financial Services, Consumer Markets).
- Partnership experience with Microsoft to develop business and cloud propositions.
- Experience working in an LLP organization.
- Proven track record of developing profitable relationships with mid and large organizations.
- Ability to develop and lead demand generation strategies for Microsoft sales teams.
- Experience leading Microsoft-centric transformation deals over £2m.
- Development of solutions, consulting offerings, and assets for repeatable sales.
- Strong network within Microsoft at sales level.
- Leadership in fostering knowledge sharing and innovation.
- Ability to lead sales interlock with delivery teams for profitable growth.
- Passion for current technology issues and market trends.
- Collaborative working style with clients and internal teams.
- Creative problem-solving skills in ambiguous situations.
