Senior Business Development Manager - Total Waste Management Solutions

Location: National

  • Sat Within the Corporate Division
  • Field Role With a Company Car or Car Allowance
  • Improving Customer's Environmental Footprint
  • Recycling and Creating Renewable Energy

The Role: The successful Senior Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing and developing a pipeline of new business opportunities worth millions of pounds with national multisite organisations within the public and private sectors such as education, hospitals, hotel chains, and retail, to deliver profitable revenue growth. You will manage your daily activities, plan journeys, proactively set up business meetings, and drive sales by offering high levels of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively seek new business on a national basis to meet set targets
  • Achieve and exceed quarterly/annual new business targets
  • Report calls, leads, quotes, and contract activity on the CRM
  • Produce and present weekly, monthly, quarterly personal performance reports
  • Liaise regularly with internal stakeholders such as the Depot Manager and Operations team to implement sales initiatives within the region
  • Be the primary interface for target customers
  • Present to board level
  • Work with tenders and bids team when preparing tenders
  • Responsible for sales prospecting and pricing negotiations

  • Experience in corporate sales selling high-value services

  • Sold at head office level to decision-makers
  • Sold £500,000 to over £1 million order values
  • Experience in consultative sales, bids, and tenders
  • Proven new business sales track record
