Job summary

AssetValue Consulting is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to lead private markets technology implementations from London. You will work across UK and international clients on platform migrations, fund administrator transitions, data mappings and operating models.

Initial assignment involves supporting a London-based GP moving to a new fund administrator on eFront, acting as liaison among the GP, incumbent, and new administrator throughout migration and parallel run.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Gather, structure and prioritise requirements with finance, accounting and operations stakeholders.
• Translate complex requirements into clear functional specifications and documented deliverables.
• Advise clients and project teams on fund accounting and on the configuration of platform accounting modules.
• Support data migration from an accounting perspective, including data gathering, mapping, reconciliation, validation and parallel run activities.
• Coordinate between clients, incumbent administrators, new administrators and technology teams. Own follow-up and ensure actions are closed on time.
• Document internal processes, administrator data-sharing procedures and transition requirements.
• Ensure business-as-usual data reaches the new administrator on time during parallel runs, including GP notices and statements, bank activity and counterparty information.
• Configure private markets platforms where the engagement requires it.
• Lead workshops, manage functional testing and UAT, and support change management and user adoption.

We combine business expertise with strong knowledge of private markets technology, including BlackRock eFront Invest and other leading platforms. Our services cover business analysis, platform implementation and migration, BI and reporting, target operating models, process automation and AI integration.

The role

You will join our dynamic team as a senior consultant based in London. You will work with clients in the UK and internationally on platform implementations, fund administrator transitions, data migrations and target operating model projects.

Initial assignment: you will support a large London-based GP that is moving to a new fund administrator on eFront. You will act as the main liaison between the GP, its current administrator and its new administrator throughout the migration and parallel run.

Responsibilities

Profile

• 5+ years of experience in private markets, either in an investment manager or administrator, or in consulting or implementation on fund accounting platforms.
• Strong Private Equity fund accounting background, including fund structures, partnership accounting, capital calls and distributions, NAV calculations, waterfall and carried interest mechanics, and investor reporting.
• Experience of data migration, including mapping, reconciliation, validation and parallel runs.
• Hands‑on experience with one or more industry‑standard platforms, such as eFront, Investran, Allvue, LemonEdge or equivalent. Working knowledge of eFront is preferred for the initial assignment.
• Confident in a client‑facing role: able to lead workshops, manage expectations, and explain accounting and technical concepts clearly to both finance and technology audiences.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management, with the ability to build credibility quickly with finance, middle office and administrator teams, and to follow up persistently until actions are closed.
• Analytical mindset, with the ability to translate complex accounting processes into functional specifications, system configuration and data requirements.
• Organised and rigorous, with strong documentation discipline, and comfortable working independently within a client team.
• Professional fluency in English.
• Right to work in the UK.

Development and support

• Take ownership of client workstreams from the outset, with the autonomy to lead engagements, set priorities and shape the approach.
• Work alongside a team of experienced private markets consultants. You can draw on their expertise across platforms, accounting topics and migration approaches.
• Progression routes towards product ownership and leadership roles.
• Mentor and support colleagues on engagements as you gain experience with our clients and platforms.
• Support for vendor and platform certifications, including official BlackRock eFront certifications.
• Exposure to a range of platforms, clients and project types, including BI and reporting, target operating models and automation.
• Regular conversations with senior management about your objectives and career development.
