SS&C GlobeOp, a division of SS&C Technologies, London, is seeking a Manager, Fund Accounting – Private Markets. Hybrid working is offered with a focus on delivering accounting and reporting for a growing private markets client base.

The role requires strong accounting knowledge (Private Markets, US/UK GAAP, IFRS), client service, and the ability to work across teams in a fast-paced environment. A professional accounting qualification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Qualified accounting professional with ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CPA/CA or equivalent.
• University degree in Accounting or Business.
• Experience with private markets fund accounting and NAV calculations.
• Knowledge of US GAAP/UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Strong client service and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work cross-team in a high growth environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing client deliverables across jurisdictions to meet deadlines.
• Prepare/review NAV calculations, financial statements, capital statements, fees, and drawdowns.
• Maintain client general ledgers and records.
• Act as daily contact for clients and build relationships.
• Prepare material for client meetings and requests.
• Coordinate and support external audits and third party reporting.
• Broaden exposure to investment accounting, fund administration, and investor servicing.
• Implement new processes/technology to improve controls and efficiency.
• Develop ability to work under pressure in a high growth environment.
• Support management of client deliverables and cross-department coordination.
• Input to client service plans, calendars, timelines.

What You Will Get To Do:

Within this role you will be responsible for providing the accounting and reporting function for our growing private markets client base. Our client base includes existing clients that have grown organically, as well as new clients that we have recently acquired. This opportunity will also enable you to work with a global team to develop our private markets coverage and associated services in EMEA.

Due to the nature of our clients, having prior experience working for a private markets fund manager would be a strong advantage in the position. The successful candidate will be expected to have strong written and verbal communications skills, a proven ability to multi-task, and outstanding organisational and problem‑solving skills.

Here are some of key duties below:

• Assistance with managing client deliverables and coordinate with different internal departments in multiple jurisdictions to ensure deadlines are met.
• Prepare and/or review NAV calculation, audited and unaudited financial statements, partner capital statements, management fee calculation, drawdowns, distributions and the underlying work papers.
• Oversee the maintenance of client general ledgers and other records.
• Act as one of the daily points of contact for clients, ensure to communicate promptly and professionally with clients and develop ongoing relationship
• Prepare appropriate material and responses for client meetings and other requests.
• Coordinate, support and facilitate the external audit process and other third party reporting
• Opportunity to broaden exposure by working on investment accounting, fund administration, client servicing and investor servicing.
• Being able to implement new processes and technology to support new business initiatives, improve control and increase operating efficiency.
• Develop and demonstrate the skill set required to work under pressure in a high growth environment
• Assist to manage the client deliverables and coordinate with different internal departments in multiple jurisdictions to ensure deadlines are met.
• Provide input to client service plans, calendars and timelines

What You Will Bring:

• Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, general ledgers and financial statements, within Private Markets
• Knowledge of private markets, net asset value calculations, capital activities, etc.
• Knowledge of US GAAP/UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Strong client service focus, including the ability to effectively respond to client needs.
• Meet internal and external demands and deadlines by being results orientated and by demonstrating the ability to operate on initiative in a controlled environment.
• Team player with the ability to lead – this will be very important as cross-team interaction is critical to the smooth running of the group.
• A professional Accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA, CA or similar), nearly or fully qualified.
• University degree (B.A., B.Sc., B.B.S.) in Accounting or Business (preferably majoring in Accountancy or another Financial‑related program).
