SS&C Technologies is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to lead end-to-end analysis for Life & Pensions projects. You will own requirements quality, traceability, and deliverables across the project lifecycle, while guiding discovery, due diligence, and stakeholder engagement.

The role emphasizes strong BA practice leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to align business outcomes with regulatory and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience with policy administration and servicing in Life & Pensions.
• Proficiency in BA methodologies across Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end business analysis for Life & Pensions initiatives, owning requirements quality, traceability and analysis deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead discovery and due diligence phases of new initiatives, defining scope and business outcomes with stakeholders.
• Elicit, document, and validate detailed requirements and user stories with traceability to objectives.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings, articulating business needs and solution approaches.
• Act as interface between clients, operations, product teams, architects, tech and delivery leads, managing cross-functional dependencies.
• Identify operational, customer, and regulatory impacts, supporting readiness activities for smooth implementation.
• Produce high-quality deliverables (process maps, current/future state models, use cases) aligned to timelines.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to BA Practice evolution through knowledge sharing.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a high-performing Senior Business Analyst to join our fast-paced transformation team, with a specific focus on Life & Pensions projects. This role offers the opportunity to shape high-impact change initiatives, influence product and service evolution, and ensure we deliver outcomes that meet both regulatory and client expectations.

What You Will Get To Do:

• Lead end-to-end business analysis for assigned Life & Pensions initiatives, taking ownership of requirements quality, traceability and analysis deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead the discovery and due diligence phases of new initiatives, working with internal and external stakeholders to define scope and business outcomes.
• Elicit, document, and validate detailed requirements and user stories, ensuring traceability to business objectives.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings, clearly articulating business needs and solution approaches.
• Act as a trusted interface between clients, business operations, product teams, architects, technology and delivery leads, proactively managing cross-functional requirements and dependencies.
• Identify operational, customer, and regulatory impacts, and support readiness activities to ensure smooth implementation.
• Produce high-quality deliverables (e.g., process maps, current/future state models, use cases) aligned to project timelines and program governance.
• (For Senior BAs) Mentor junior team members and contribute to the evolution of the BA Practice through knowledge sharing and support.

What You Will Bring:

• Demonstrable experience as a Senior Business Analyst, independently leading analysis workstreams within complex change, client delivery or transformation programmes.
• Strong practical knowledge of Life & Pensions policy administration and servicing, including product rules, policy lifecycle events, operational processes and customer impacts.
• Experience across these areas within L&P is beneficial; Term Insurance, WOL Insurance, Critical Illness Insurance, Income Protection Insurance, Group Life Insurance, Endowments, On Shore Investment Bonds, Off Shore Investments Bonds.
• Proficiency in BA methodologies across Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery frameworks .
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work across business, technical, and client-facing environments.
• Confident facilitator and communicator-able to lead workshops, document clear outputs, and influence decision-making.
• Self-starter with strong organisational skills, able to manage priorities in fast-paced, change-heavy environments.
• Passion for continuous improvement, quality outcomes, and business value.
• Comfortable adapting to evolving business needs and managing ambiguity.
