Job summary

The Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade (BIST), in partnership with Inspire People, is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to lead complex change initiatives across multidisciplinary teams.

You will identify business challenges, specify user needs and shape data-driven solutions that align with government strategy. Hybrid working with flexible and professional development opportunities is offered.

Qualifications

• Lead business analysis in a digital environment, including mentoring colleagues and supporting delivery teams.
• Assess complex business challenges, define analytical approaches and develop recommendations aligned to strategy and user needs.
• Define and prioritise business analysis activity and requirements within Agile delivery environments.
• Lead stakeholder engagement, manage conflicting priorities and build agreement around business and user needs.
• Analyse and improve business processes using modelling, testing and usability techniques, while championing DDaT standards and multidisciplinary working.

Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis of complex business and user challenges, identifying opportunities for improvement and transformation
• Define business capabilities and requirements that support strategic objectives and organisational change
• Drive business process improvement and process re-engineering initiatives
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Service Owners and Delivery Managers to influence delivery priorities
• Use evidence-based analysis to assess options and recommend solutions
