Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Head of Wholesale Banking & Financing Solutions and Deputy Head of Institutional Banking & Distribution in driving IB business strategy in Sub-Saharan Africa.
• Manage existing African FI relationships and enhance profitability in line with the Bank’s risk appetite and strategic targets.

Key Skills/Experience:

• Support Relationship Managers in achieving departmental budgets.
• Drive business origination by marketing new relationships and onboarding clients.
• Prepare credit applications for review by Credit Risk, with strong financial statement analysis skills.
• Ensure compliance with KYC/KYB requirements, including full reviews and onboarding processes.
• Coordinate with the Business Risk Review team to meet timelines for client reviews.
• Monitor financial statement review deadlines and coordinate approvals.
• Prepare limit extension requests and manage system limits accordingly.
• Distribute weekly financial limits reports.
• Handle customer queries efficiently.
• Assist Relationship Managers with prospecting, due diligence, and portfolio management.

Experience / Knowledge:

• Experience within Financial Institutions, UK regulatory knowledge, and credit analysis skills.
• Understanding of International Trade Finance.
• Experience in the African market and French language skills are advantageous.
• Knowledge of Moody’s Analytical tools and financial statement analysis for banks.
