Job summary

BRCGS, part of LGC Assure, is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to help shape digital products and drive value across global food safety and quality initiatives. You will partner with product, engineering and QA teams to translate business needs into actionable requirements and measurable outcomes.

You will lead discovery through delivery, leverage data-driven insights to guide decisions, and mentor a growing team of Business Analysts.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Business Analyst within a software or digital product environment.
• Strong Agile experience, including Scrum, Kanban and user story development.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience defining KPIs, success measures and product outcomes.
• Ability to coach or mentor others and share best practice.
• Strong Excel and SQL skills, with experience using data to support decision making.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Jira, Azure DevOps or similar tools.
• Interest in emerging technologies, including AI and responsible AI practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead business analysis activities across BRCGS digital products, translating business needs into clear requirements and user stories.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand challenges, find opportunities and ensure solutions align with business strategy and customer needs.
• Support product delivery from discovery through to release, including testing, sprint planning and continuous improvement activities.
• Use data and insights to evaluate performance, define success measures and support evidence-based decision making.
• Help shape AI-enabled opportunities by identifying practical applications, risks and business benefits.
• Coach and support Business Analysts, promoting best practice and building team capability.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering and QA teams to ensure successful delivery of high-quality solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement through process optimisation, problem-solving and user-focused thinking.
