About the role

Lycetts Insurance Brokers, proudly part of Benefact Group, is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our Newcastle office.

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Business Analyst to manage and deliver business analysis activities across various projects. Reporting to the project manager and authorized by the Head of IT, you will lead junior analysts and ensure smooth project execution alongside maintaining business-as-usual activities.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to project inquiries, facilitate requirements and process workshops, identify key stakeholders, and develop strong stakeholder relationships.
• Gather and analyze data to support benefits, costs, and business cases; develop presentations and monitor progress.
• Mentor less experienced Business Analysts and other team members.
• Encourage colleagues to deliver excellent service and team performance.
• Create and document organizational designs, role profiles, and operating manuals.
• Provide training and live support as needed.
• Compile requirement and process specifications and workflows.
• Develop application specifications using appropriate tools.
• Contribute to project initiation documents and progress reports.
• Assist in testing activities, including scripting and executing tests.
• Support the Change Management initiatives.

Knowledge, skills, and experience

• Ability to build and maintain productive relationships.
• Strong leadership skills and process development experience.
• Familiarity with project planning and monitoring methods.
• Organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Experience delivering at least two projects involving COTS/Packaged software solutions.
• Proficiency in analyzing and modeling business operations.
