About the role

Lycetts Insurance Brokers, who are proudly part ofBenefact Group, are looking for a Senior Business Analystto join our Newcastleoffice.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our team. This role is pivotal in managing and delivering business analysis activities for various business and change projects. Reporting to the allocated project manager and authorised by the Head of IT, you will lead junior analysts and ensure seamless project execution while maintaining business-as-usual activities.

Key responsibilities
  • Answer incoming project enquiries, run requirements and process workshops. Identify key stakeholders and understand their interests, and develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Gather and analyse data to support benefits, costs, and business cases, build business case presentations and documentation, and monitor progress against business cases.
  • Mentor less senior Business Analysts and the wider business.
  • Empower colleagues to take personal responsibility for excellent service delivery and team performance.
  • Develop and document organisational designs, role profiles, and operating manuals.
  • Deliver training and provide live support as required.
  • Collate requirement and process specifications and flows.
  • Develop application functional and technical specifications using appropriate tools.
  • Provide input into project initiation documents and progress reports.
  • Offer testing services, including preparation of test scripts and execution of tests.
  • Contribute to the overall Change Management agenda.
Knowledge, skills and experience
  • The ability to build and manage co-operative and productive relationships.
  • Strong leadership qualities allied with effective workflow and process development.
  • Familiar with methods and techniques associated with planning and monitoring progress of projects.
  • Organisational and problem solving capabilities.
  • Experience of having delivered at least two projects featuring the implementation of COTS/Packaged software solutions and a clear understanding of how to approach such projects.
  • Proficient in techniques which help in analysing, modelling and understanding a business and its operation.
