IT Business Analyst (Remote) 12 month fixed term

We’re currently seeking a Business Analyst to join our IT team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will support projects within the Digital, Data, and Technology directorate, ensuring the seamless integration of technical initiatives across the organization.

The IT Business Analyst will investigate, analyze, and document new projects, processes, and initiatives to facilitate their timely and budget-conscious delivery. They will ensure operational requirements are fully considered, enabling the organization to achieve its business benefits while minimizing disruption to BAU activities.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a strong track record in digital, IT, and project delivery. Excellent organizational and prioritization skills are essential for managing multiple projects effectively.

We offer a competitive salary of £40,375 - £47,500 pa (dependent on experience), along with benefits including:

Hours:

37 hours/week, Monday to Thursday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. 12-month fixed-term contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver business analytics within time and quality parameters.
• Identify and document risks, requirements, and dependencies using appropriate tools.
• Create initial change requests and business cases, and contribute to solution identification.
• Represent the department professionally in meetings.
• Support stakeholder involvement to achieve project deliverables.
• Collaborate with PMs and Program Managers to realize project benefits.
• Assist team members, including other Business Analysts and frontline staff.
• Produce reports and analytics for stakeholders and project teams.

Skills and Experience

Essential

• 5+ years experience as a Business Analyst with a proven record in digital/IT project delivery.
• Knowledge of ISO, GDPR, Cyber Essentials Plus standards.
• Experience working with senior leaders and translating strategic plans into project specifications.
• Experience managing major IT projects and programs.

Desirable

• Graduate degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a PMO environment.
• Engagement with technical and non-technical stakeholders across sectors.
• Proven stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in private and public sector projects.
• Membership in a relevant professional body.
