Role Overview

The Senior Business Analyst, part of the Business Systems team, will identify business requirements, recommend, and document processes within and across divisions, typically within project teams. This role is based in our London offices with a hybrid working model.

Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with globally distributed stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements, use cases, and test cases supporting business benefits.
2. Develop understanding of Springer Nature processes, systems, and their project impacts.
3. Create use cases for testing and participate in solution testing to support new processes.
4. Produce training materials, support business users during system implementation, and ensure successful adoption.
5. Maintain project documentation and a knowledge base for systems.
6. Support or act as the project manager to ensure stakeholder needs are addressed.
7. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, organize insight sessions, workshops, and demos.
8. Engage proactively within the Springer Nature Technology BA Community.

Qualifications & Skills

Essential

• Extensive experience as a BA in project delivery and agile environments.
• Strong analytical skills, including use case collection, requirements definition, and process mapping.
• Understanding of project management principles (waterfall and agile).
• Ability to communicate technical opportunities to non-technical audiences.
• Excellent organization, planning, and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn new IT systems and business areas.
• Experience working in technical and non-technical environments.
• Proactive self-starter capable of anticipating project needs.

Desirable

• Experience in multinational matrix organizations.
• Knowledge of media or publishing industry processes.
• Understanding of journal publishing workflows.

• Professional BA qualification.
