Job summary

ScaleOps Search Ltd is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Business Analyst with strong HAM experience to lead requirements, engage senior stakeholders and translate business needs into effective ServiceNow solutions.

You'll own requirements workshops, map asset lifecycles from procurement to disposal, and collaborate with architects, developers and QA to deliver HAM/HAM Pro capabilities within major banking Transformation programmes.

Senior ServiceNow Business Analyst - HAM / ITAM

Permanent or Contract | Up to £85,000 or £700 per day | UK Hybrid

Are you an experienced ServiceNow Business Analyst with strong Hardware Asset Management (HAM) implementation experience?

We're working with a specialist ServiceNow consultancy supporting major enterprise transformation programmes, particularly within the banking and financial services sector.

We're looking for Senior ServiceNow Business Analysts with proven experience delivering ServiceNow HAM implementations who can confidently take ownership of requirements, engage with senior stakeholders and work closely with technical teams to deliver successful solutions.

This is an opportunity to work on complex ServiceNow programmes, helping organisations improve their hardware asset management processes, visibility, governance and operational efficiency.

The Role

As a Senior ServiceNow Business Analyst, you'll play a key role in delivering ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management solutions, working closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, developers and implementation teams.

You'll be responsible for understanding existing asset management processes, identifying areas for improvement and translating business requirements into effective ServiceNow solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading requirements-gathering workshops focused on ServiceNow HAM implementations.
• Working with stakeholders to understand hardware asset lifecycle processes, from procurement and receiving through to deployment, maintenance, refresh and disposal.
• Translating business requirements into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria and functional specifications.
• Supporting the implementation and optimisation of ServiceNow HAM and HAM Pro capabilities.
• Mapping existing asset management processes and identifying opportunities for automation and improvement.
• Working closely with technical architects and developers to ensure solutions align with business requirements.
• Understanding the relationship between HAM, CMDB, ITSM and wider ServiceNow processes.
• Supporting data migration, integration requirements, testing and UAT activities.
• Managing stakeholder expectations and independently owning business analysis deliverables throughout the implementation lifecycle.
• Supporting deployment, go-live readiness and post-implementation improvements.

We're particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:

• Significant experience working as a Business Analyst on ServiceNow implementation projects.
• Strong hands‑on business analysis experience delivering ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM) solutions.
• A detailed understanding of hardware asset lifecycle management and associated business processes.
• Experience gathering requirements and supporting the configuration or implementation of ServiceNow HAM/HAM Pro.
• Knowledge of asset procurement, inventory management, stockrooms, receiving, deployment, refresh and disposal processes.
• Experience producing user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps and functional documentation.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience facilitating workshops with senior business and technical stakeholders.
• The ability to independently manage business analysis workstreams within complex enterprise environments.
• Experience supporting UAT and working closely with ServiceNow technical delivery teams.

We're looking for genuine ServiceNow implementation experience, rather than candidates whose background is primarily operational IT asset management.

Additional Experience That Would Be Valuable

While HAM is the primary focus, experience across other ServiceNow modules would be advantageous, particularly:

• ITAM – Software Asset Management (SAM) and wider asset management processes.
• ITSM – Incident, Problem, Change, Request Management and Service Catalogue.
• ITOM – Discovery, Service Mapping and infrastructure visibility.
• CMDB and Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
• Integrations between HAM, CMDB, procurement systems and other enterprise platforms.
• ServiceNow HAM Pro implementation or optimisation.
• Experience working within banking, financial services or other highly regulated environments.
• ServiceNow certifications, including CSA and relevant CIS certifications.

You don't need to be an expert across every ServiceNow module. We're particularly interested in candidates who have developed genuine depth in HAM, alongside a broader understanding of the ServiceNow platform.
