Job summary

Spinwell Global Limited is recruiting a Principal Surveyor for a key public sector role based in Portishead, Bristol. The successful candidate will provide professional leadership in Building Surveying and estates management, directing projects from inception through delivery with a multi-disciplinary team.

You will ensure compliance with design standards and statutory requirements, influence lease and property negotiations, and support capital funding plans while representing the Constabulary

Qualifications

• The post holder will be a Chartered Member of the RICS (Building Surveyors Division), CIOB or equivalent and have extensive post qualification experience.
• Understanding of estates/property management, budget management and large construction project delivery.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and make decisions.
• Experience liaising with stakeholders and writing reports for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist leadership and advice in Building Surveying and estates management for the Constabulary's Property Portfolio.
• Oversee major building projects from inception to delivery within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Ensure accommodation design standards are reviewed and implemented.
• Ensure statutory compliance in estate management and property acquisitions matters.
• Influence negotiations on leases, landlord/tenant issues and property searches.
• Develop and inform capital and revenue funded schemes with budget planning.
• Prepare reports for governance meetings and oversee internal surveying teams.
