Job summary

Hill & Hill Recruitment are seeking a Building Surveying Manager to work within a Local Authority based in Suffolk. The role involves providing senior leadership across housing maintenance, planned maintenance and major capital programmes, managing a team of surveyors and ensuring delivery to high standards.

You will oversee feasibility studies, cost estimates, contract documentation and procurement, with emphasis on health and safety, regulatory compliance and value for money.

Qualifications

• Significant post-qualification experience as Building Surveyor or senior equivalent.
• Strong experience managing housing maintenance, planned maintenance and refurbishment programmes.
• Knowledge of Building Regulations and health and safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and technical expertise across maintenance and capital improvement programmes.
• Manage and lead a team of building surveyors and property professionals; workload, performance and appraisal.
• Lead project teams delivering high-value maintenance, refurbishment and complex works.
