Job summary

Ipswich BC is seeking a Chartered Building Surveyor to provide a comprehensive, high-quality Chartered Building Surveying service for the management of maintenance and major capital improvement programmes to the housing stock.

You will lead a team of Chartered surveying professionals and technical officers, manage project delivery with key stakeholders, and drive service improvements while ensuring compliance with health and safety, building regulations, and other applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive, high quality, customer focused Chartered / professional Building Surveying Service to the Council for the effective management of maintenance and major capital improvement programmes to the housing stock.
• Ensure professional leadership to comply with legal, financial, time, cost and policy constraints.
• Lead project teams for delivering high value and complex projects including coordinating activity with Stakeholders and ensuring targets are met.
• Lead service improvement initiatives, developing and implementing new policies and procedures to improve customer focused services and compliance with regulations.
