Job summary

Bruntwood SciTech, based in Manchester City Centre at Union on Albert Square, seeks a Senior Building Surveyor to drive delivery of works across a defined portfolio. You’ll solve complex problems, plan long term asset strategies and collaborate with our Building Consultancy team to meet ambitious goals.

You’ll lead fabric and M&E projects, Cat A/B refurbishments, and advise on regulations while maintaining a strong focus on sustainability and stakeholder satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive understanding of commercial property as a physical asset and its lifecycle.
• Knowledge of building pathology and remediation strategies.
• Familiarity with building regulations and asset planning processes.
• Ability to advise, consult and collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
• Experience in surveying perspectives for Cat A/B refurbishments and related projects.

Responsibilities

• Drive scheme direction from a Building Consultancy perspective.
• Collaborate with portfolio teams to deliver fabric/infrastructure projects to high standards.
• Apply project management and technical skills to select delivery routes for various project types.
• Engage with key partnerships and supplier relationships.
• Manage delivery performance and risk for the Building Consultancy team across a portfolio.
• Support development of asset management plans and align with portfolio strategies.
