Job summary

Panoramic Associates Ltd. is seeking a Senior Building Surveyor in Suffolk to oversee a team of Chartered Surveyors and Technical Officers, directing responsive repairs, planned maintenance and major capital programmes.

You will influence service delivery at a senior level, lead procurement, manage significant budgets, and develop housing policies with senior management and elected Members.

Qualifications

• Proven Building Surveying experience.
• Strong housing maintenance and capital works background.
• Experience leading and managing technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Chartered Surveyors and Technical Officers, overseeing workloads, programming, performance and development.
• Ensure quality, safety, and compliance standards across all work.
• Provide cover for the Principal Contracts Manager and represent the council at forums and meetings.
• Lead project teams delivering high-value and complex housing projects, coordinating internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Work with Housing Senior Management and Councillors for coordinated service delivery.
• Investigate and resolve complex service complaints and contractor disputes.
• Coordinate responsive repairs, planned maintenance and major capital HRA programmes.
• Oversee feasibility studies, cost estimates, drawings (CAD) and contract documentation.
