Job summary

Capital Resourcing Group is seeking an experienced Building Surveying Manager to lead a team of surveying professionals and oversee maintenance and major capital improvement programmes across a large housing portfolio in Ipswich.

The role requires strong building surveying and project management experience, knowledge of building regulations and H&S, plus contractor and stakeholder management; IOSH Managing Safely is preferred.

Qualifications

• Building-related BSc or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience.
• Strong building surveying and project management experience.
• Knowledge of building, H&S and relevant legislation.
• Minimum IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
• Strong contractor and stakeholder management skills.
• Local Authority or social housing experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of surveying professionals and support the delivery of maintenance and major capital improvement programmes across a large housing portfolio.
• Manage complex building projects, planned and responsive maintenance programmes, contractors, budgets and procurement activity.
• Ensure work meets relevant building regulations, health & safety requirements and quality standards.
