Job summary

Bellrock Consulting, Summers-Inman team, is seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to deliver a wide range of professional surveying services across a diverse client portfolio in Birmingham. You will manage refurbishment and construction projects, undertake building surveys, provide contract administration and advise through the project lifecycle.

Working on a hybrid basis between the Birmingham office and home, you will build strong client relationships, lead project delivery, and contribute

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Surveying with MRICS/MCIOB chartership preferred or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience delivering professional Building Surveying services across varied projects.
• Experience preparing technical specifications and schedules of work for refurbishments and extensions.
• Good understanding of contract administration (pre- and post-contract).
• Experience managing projects, monitoring works and ensuring quality.
• Experience with Party Wall matters and dilapidations is advantageous.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and interpreting technical drawings.
• Strong communication and client-focused relationship building.
• Highly organised and commercially aware with ability to manage multiple projects and budgets.
• Proactive, collaborative team player who shares knowledge and delivers quality work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a wide range of professional Building Surveying services, ensuring projects meet high standards and deadlines.
• Manage refurbishment, extension and construction projects, including contract administration and site monitoring.
• Prepare technical specifications, schedules of work and project reports.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as key contact and providing professional advice.
• Plan and manage resources, workloads, budgets for efficient delivery.
• Collaborate with colleagues/consultants to deliver a seamless service.
• Support fee proposals, tenders, and business development activities.
• Manage project accounts, monitor costs and contribute to financial performance.
• Provide technical guidance to colleagues and develop team capability.
• Support senior leaders with business development and project delivery.
