Bruton Knowles Limited in Birmingham is seeking a Senior Building Surveyor to join our Building Consultancy team. You’ll lead on a diverse Midlands portfolio, delivering due diligence, surveys, dilapidations and party-wall matters, while managing client expectations and coordinating cross‑practice collaboration.

You will work flexibly in a hybrid role with opportunities for professional growth across England and Wales, supported by a knowledgeable multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Chartered MRICS status is essential.
• Strong background in Building Surveying with party walls, dilapidations and defect analysis.
• Proven ability to build client relationships and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and with a team.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Technical due diligence for commercial and residential properties.
• Preparing specifications, drawings and risk assessments for refurbishments.
• Conducting building surveys, schedules of condition, dilapidations and defect analysis.
• Leading QA processes and ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice.
• Presenting findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
