Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate Building Surveyor to join a respected independent property consultancy serving the South Central region. Working with Chartered Surveyors, you’ll deliver a varied mix of professional and project work while helping to grow the Building Surveying team and mentoring a Graduate Surveyor through APC.

Qualifications

• MRICS qualification required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualified experience.
• Strong project management, party wall and dilapidations experience.
• Excellent technical and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver professional Building Surveying services across a diverse property portfolio.
• Manage projects from inception through to completion.
• Undertake contract administration and project management duties.
• Prepare dilapidations claims and provide Party Wall advice.
• Conduct building inspections, defect diagnosis and technical reporting.
• Prepare specifications and tender documentation.
• Manage client relationships and support business development.
• Mentor a Graduate Surveyor through their APC.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate Building Surveyor to join a highly respected independent property consultancy with an excellent reputation across the South Central region.

Working alongside an experienced team of Chartered Surveyors, you’ll deliver a varied mix of professional and project work while helping to grow the Building Surveying team. This is a client-facing role offering genuine responsibility, the opportunity to mentor a Graduate Surveyor through their APC and excellent long-term career progression.

Role and Responsibilities of the Associate Building Surveyor:

• Delivering professional Building Surveying services across a diverse property portfolio
• Managing projects from inception through to completion
• Undertaking Contract Administration and Project Management duties
• Preparing dilapidations claims and providing Party Wall advice
• Carrying out building inspections, defect diagnosis and technical reporting
• Preparing specifications and tender documentation
• Managing client relationships and supporting business development
• Mentoring a Graduate Surveyor through their APC

Skills & Experience of the Associate Building Surveyor:

• MRICS qualified Building Surveyor
• Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualified experience
• Strong Project Management, Party Wall and Dilapidations experience
• Excellent technical and client-facing skills
• Leadership experience or the desire to mentor junior surveyors
• Commercially aware with strong organisational skills
• Full UK driving licence
