Job summary

Galliford Try is seeking a Senior Building Services Manager to lead the building services delivery across multiple sites in the North East & Yorkshire region, based around the Gateshead area with travel to projects as required.

The role requires extensive experience in managing design consultants and subcontractors, with a background in Education, Health or Commercial sectors, and current membership with a relevant professional institute.

Qualifications

• Experience of managing design consultants and sub-contractors at project level.
• Experience working in Education, Health and Commercial sectors.
• Chartered membership of a Professional Institute or working towards it.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery of Building Services elements of construction projects.
• Ensure Building Services programmes are delivered cost-effectively and comply with Health & Safety legislation.
• Coordinate Building Services delivery with IMS guidelines and forms.
• Lead commissioning of systems and equipment and coordinate client demonstrations.
• Chair group meetings for building service integration in projects.
• Lead project working groups to clarify requirements and improve coordination standards.
• Review sub-contractors protocols, methods and risk assessments to ensure safe operations.
