Job summary

Acorn Limited in South Wales seeks a Senior Building Services Engineer to cover a portfolio of commercial sites across South Wales and occasional North Wales travel. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, and small works while building trusted client relationships.

The role offers autonomy, strong support, and opportunities to develop within a growing business. 41.25 hours per week with overtime and call-out opportunities.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Completed a recognised mechanical engineering apprenticeship or be a time-served maintenance engineer.
• Strong knowledge of M&E building services.
• Experience working with HVAC systems, boilers, air conditioning, ventilation, heating and cooling systems.
• Understanding of Legionella awareness and health & safety regulations.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• F-Gas Certification.
• Experience working within a facilities management or multi-site maintenance environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a diverse portfolio of sites.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical, mechanical and building services faults.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with company procedures and statutory regulations.
• Produce accurate maintenance records, reports and certification.
• Liaise with customers, contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure excellent service delivery.
• Assist with specialist projects, shutdowns and improvement works.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements, RAMS and safe systems of work.
