Job summary

TSSI in London’s Estates / Facilities Management seeks a Building Services Engineer (Mechanical Bias) to lead the management and improvement of mechanical building services across the site(s). You will oversee HVAC, boilers, chillers, AHUs, pumps, and related plant to ensure reliability and energy efficiency.

You will also coordinate with electrical, BMS, and fabric teams, manage PPM schedules, and mentor in-house engineers while maintaining safety, compliance, and budget governance.

Qualifications

• Recognised mechanical engineering qualification in Building Services or related discipline.
• Substantial experience maintaining mechanical building services in commercial, industrial, or institutional environments.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, heating, and ventilation systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage operation, maintenance, and performance of mechanical building services across site(s).
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety at Work Act, L8, F-Gas, and Building Regulations Part L.
• Line-manage in-house mechanical engineers and coordinate subcontractors.
• Oversee PPM schedules and reactive maintenance for mechanical assets.
• Lead energy efficiency initiatives and lifecycle replacement planning.
• Coordinate with electrical, BMS, and fabric teams for integrated service delivery.
