Peaple Talent Ltd is recruiting a Lead Mechanical Building Services Engineer for a Permanent role in Central London (Whitehall). You will act as the on-site lead for mechanical systems across a high-profile estate, balancing hands-on maintenance with project delivery in a secure government environment.

The role requires a strong background in building services, HVAC, pumps and water hygiene, and a thorough understanding of statutory compliance and safe working practices.

Formación

• Proven background in mechanical engineering within building services or critical infrastructure.
• Experience maintaining HVAC, pumps, valves, pipework and water hygiene systems.
• Strong knowledge of statutory compliance and safe working practices.
• Ex-military engineers with relevant mechanical building services or marine engineering experience encouraged to apply.

Responsabilidades

• Own all mechanical systems, including PM delivery and reactive maintenance.
• Diagnose faults and troubleshoot HVAC, chillers, AHUs, pressurisation, water hygiene and fuel storage plant.
• Maintain and upgrade ageing or legacy mechanical infrastructure to ensure reliability.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, safe systems of work, and health and safety standards.
• Oversee subcontractors for routine maintenance and project delivery.
• Produce technical specifications, reports, and scope-of-work documents for remdial works and system upgrades.
