Job summary

Cornwall Council is seeking a Senior Building Inspector to join its Building Control service. You will help ensure Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly are safe, sustainable and compliant with Building Regulations, providing expert advice to customers, developers and construction professionals.

You will undertake complex assessments, mentor colleagues, and contribute to ongoing service development while working in a flexible hybrid pattern across New County Hall, Truro and Cornwall facilities.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in Building Control environment.
• Strong understanding of Building Regulations and guidance.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and workloads.
• Deliver excellent customer service and professional advice.
• Able to work independently while contributing to team performance.
