Manchester City Council's Building Control Service is seeking a Class 2A-2F inspector for a busy city environment. The role offers a 35-hour week, a permanent contract, and a competitive benefits package including a market-rate supplement and essential car user allowance.
Applicants must hold a construction-related degree, be registered with the Building Safety Regulator as Class 2A-2F, and be a member of RICS/CABE/CIOB or equivalent. A UK driving licence and access to a car are required.

Qualification - Suitable degree or equivalent award in a construction related discipline. Registered as a Building Inspector with the Building Safety Regulator as Class 2A - 2F

This is an essential role that has a critical bearing upon the council's ability to meet statutory obligations for ensuring buildings comply with relevant building safety legislation and contributes significantly to the council's resilience capabilities. The responsibilities attached to the role are commensurate with the restricted activities and functions only available to building control and reflects the high importance and regard in which Building Control is held within the authority.
